Take some time to prioritize that workload before diving in. I came in to a lot of work this morning and spent a lot of time on the wrong things. The few extra minutes can save an hour later on!

I know the feeling, I’ve been there! Very frustrating and I try not to let it get my day down but always is nice when you’re off to a good start though.
All you can do is prioritize things and try to divide tasks in manageable pieces, if that's at all possible. If you can tick off the most important tasks early in the day (and week) you'll feel like you're making progress and that will spur you along. If you dawdle on the important tasks it'll just exaggerate the feeling of being overwhelmed.
For me I'm just happy to not dread Monday on a Sunday. I can deal with it when I get there but if you spend half your weekend worried about the work load it's not healthy. I have a to do list and make sure I note down things as I go through my emails on what needs doing.
As others have said, zero in on priorities. One of my former managers put it like this: avoid the tyranny of the urgent. good luck!
Mondays hit like a brick sometimes. I start with a “quick wins” list—three things I can finish fast. Helps build momentum and makes the day feel less overwhelming.
