Guys, it’s coming. And - as you should know, if working for WPP since more than a couple of months - it’s the same game every single time. Yes, we are aiming at April and October, everything submitted, waiting, learning about approvals end of April/early May, end of October/early November. All good (I know, not brilliant, but nothing to worry about).
Thank you. “Same game” and “nothing to worry about” - and I’m sure you got that - re raises and promotions, not billability, not pipeline, nor hires. I get your frustration. And I hope you speak with your managers, not just post here (while I hope, a handful of execs have a look from time to time, there’s just way better options to get your voice heard). It’s a f****** hard time. Across all markets, solutions, teams, and agencies. The grass isn’t greener wherever I look (ex US here, btw). So I try to get it as green in my team, office, market as we can make it. Far from perfect. And baby steps. But better than waiting for Godot.
I wouldn’t expect an answer before May... but keep billing at 200% and no you can’t hire more people!! But retention is fine!! #dumpsterfire
Where is the lie? People in Corp are 150, 170, 180% billable. It’s unreal.
From what I’ve heard from multiple sources across offices, a lot of people are going to be disappointed so I wouldn’t get your hopes up. It’s going to be a small pool complete with promotions without raises and small raises to those able to get them.
Looking at the list, definitely seems like they were more generous in some practices over others. Happy to see so many people were recognized though, hopefully they received what was deserved.
