I started freelancing by figuring out what I was good at (email management, scheduling, social media, marketing automation, etc.) and offering those services to small biz owners I knew. I reached out on LinkedIn and posted in a few FB groups. That’s how I got my first clients.
Once I had some happy clients, referrals started rolling in. My advice: start small, be reliable, and make sure people know what you offer. There’s plenty of demand for VAs.

I know some people find opportunities to do VA work on Upwork, Fiverr, and similar job boards. The only problem is that I know many employers tend to hire for lower-cost-of-living companies in those kinds of positions, where they can get away with paying three dollars an hour or something similar.
I think Fiverr has to have an open Virtual assistant position available to apply and they dont.
I created an Upward account, but what I dont like about them is the fact that they want you to pay to apply for freelancing jobs. How crazy
