Any word on Swift in Portland?
Hi #Urgent
Got the Offer Letter from Citi upon accepting I also received the Background Verification (BGV) mail.
which says I need to provide the relieving letter/experience letter. But the thing is I have not received it (it will take some time). I only have resignation acceptance letter.
Can we still proceed for bgv process and tell Citi that I will provide the relieving letter later on when i get it.
(already passed my LWD: 2nd nov)

Ah I had a framework for this … I’ll try to dig it up but this is what were the biggest factors for me…
1. Which idea can I validate the fastest? (Can I hack together an MVP and see if people would buy this?)
2. Which one requires the least additional / outside help? Is there an idea that I can create with my own hands or one cofounder that I’ve already spoken with? Does one of these ideas require me to learn machine learning or some insane technical skill?
3. Which idea would I enjoy working on the most and be able to stick through with it?
4. Which idea can you make money the fastest? What idea gets you to your first dollar the quickest?
I had more but can’t think of them at the moment… I am a firm believer that the most executable idea is the best.

Extremely helpful!

Have you done any surveys or had informal calls with possible users to see if there is any appetite for one idea over another? Have you spoken with any angels ir VCs to see whether monetizing or scaling any one idea is easier or harder?
Four is still a lot. Pick one and try to validate it quickly... Or make a marketing pitch for the four of them and measure with a target audience to see which one gets the most traction/interest.
Try not to get caught up in the whole "I don't want to share much about this idea or someone else will make it". Pick the best, start by executing like crazy (learn to let go if it is not working).
Once things start rolling you can figure out if to double one on that first idea or find a way to start the second one part time
Thank you! Your suggestions are definitely helpful.
If you’re struggling with four, then all of them are probably equally compelling to you. Try not to be perfect nor controlling. It helps me when I ask a question of would I regret let one go after 5 years looking back. Not by a comparison across the ideas but independently evaluate one by one separately by the question. It usually comes down to one. Most of hesitation root in fear of losing. Turn mind set into joy of acquiring then it helps a bit about what I really want to select. No one knows which idea is the best.
Yes! I’m sincerely passionate about all of them😭 Haha you must’ve read my mind, I’m definitely one to control or perfect something even draft. I know it’s not healthy…working on it. I love your question! Definitely will use that. Thank you so much.
Is there one you are personally excited about? One that solves the biggest problem for you?
It helps to have a product or business that you are personally invested in the solution/mission and gets you excited to work on it every day.
Thanks a lot! Good luck to you as well. Once you’re up and running share your company’s info so we can support you😊
I would set up a landing page, run paid ads, have a call to action on the ads/ website to join the mailing list for early access + a discount and see which concept has the most conversion / lowest CPC. And then start there. It’s not a perfect demand signal but couple that with customer discovery interviews and you should be able to narrow it down to one. Its awesome that you’re equally passionate about them all but what’s more important is which concept is actually solving a problem people have. Exhaust that channel and then only consider the others once that one reaches a wall. Process of elimination. Also read the book the Mom Test, such a game changer for customer discovery interviews.

Thank you so much everyone! I really appreciate it. I’ve had one consultation so far and the home work was basically look at my passions and the costs to narrow it down. You all gave such greats tips that I’ll definitely use starting tonight. I’ll keep you all posted😊😊
Did you pick one?

The one where the most prospective customers are calling you asking “when can you help me/deliver the product”.
Your customers will tell you the direction.

A major element in helping you focus is knowing exactly who you are, in terms of natural inclinations and your motivators. That information will be incredibly helpful in your decision-making. It’s been life changing for me and my clients. If your interested in learning more DM me.
