I got offer in Bangalore FIS and my husband got an offer with one big company in Hyderabad. Both companies are currently WFH only but in future, I might have to consider moving to Hyderabad. Fis doesn't have office in Hyderabad so I was wondering if I can ask permanent WFH later. I guess I will be put in fis payment solution.
Thanks in advance. Kindly let me know. FIS Global

We don't unfortunately. I'd be concerned about it, but with so many other companies going full RTO or shifting to hybrid schedules, I don't think it's as big of a deal as it would have been 5 years ago. That, layoffs and a rough job market makes it possible for us to compete for top candidates, even without offering remote flexibility.

the market is so rough :(
Hybrid still allowed. RTO may work in this bad market, but the candidate pool would be much larger and much happier with remote or at least hybrid. People who can save more from commuting less or not at all are more likely to stick around longer because the money incentive is high. They know that colleagues from other companies are being paid roughly the same but saving much less, often being forced to rent near their jobs and sometimes in very expensive areas. A remote employee can buy a home in a cheap area and build or invest capital with all the extra savings. Happy workers, happy leadership, great work product!

i imagine once the job market improves, most candidates will leave full RTO positions
We went hybrid, and we lost several good candidates, as well as an employee. When we hired, we promised fully remote and that was changed a couple of months back. I wish they would stop changing the requirements and let people work in a way that works best for them. Some people can't commute or find proper childcare to be in the office, but they are still great workers regardless.

I hear you on the mom thing- we've had lots of moms taking care of their children during meetings and being called out for it
Nope, thankfully, our company is still fully remote! I think more and more companies are realizing that flexibility is key to keeping great talent. If you’re shifting back to in-office, I’d definitely keep an eye on how it affects your candidate pool, remote work has really set a new standard.

let us know which company and if you're hiring ;)
I know full remote positions are becoming few and far between, but I’ve been lucky enough to stay remote, and my company allows for remote work for certain positions and I imagine if we took that away, we would lose all kinds of candidates because the most qualified people aren’t gonna tolerate five days in office

glad your company is progressive :)
Yeah my company has been remote as well and will be indefinitely.
