Hi Fishes,
I recently got an offer for Cyber security advisory at PwC India . They gave a 20% hike on the current amount. Thing is that l, the technical interview told me that it is not a software/coding type of position and asked me multiple times if I was interested to do that. Is that a red flag?
I can’t help it. Love me for who I am.

Plot twist : OP suffers from Dunning Kruger
For the uninitiated (including myself): In the field of psychology, the Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias wherein people of low ability suffer from illusory superiority, mistakenly assessing their cognitive ability as greater than it is.
Biggest skillset is how much you can lick your M/SM/P ass. Only people from these skillset can be rewarded.
But yea. I agree
I think it's only a problem if you frequently hire people who don't know what they're talking about, and that usually happens when you are at a company filled with people who don't know what they're talking about.
OP, I disagree with your premise. Being less or more skilled shouldn't determine promotion, accomplishment and results should. I think a lot of really smart people complain that less skilled people are promoted ahead of them, but maybe those less smart people are hard workers who accomplished a lot?
