I know multiple people who make 5 figures a month solely on Amazon affiliate links that people are clicking FROM their TikTok videos, not to mention the many businesses who sell out their hero product on the reg because of TikTok influencer ads or organic UGC. Gen Z accounts for 40% of consumer buying, so I disagree with the buying power argument. I agree with it being fickle, but with the rise of SEO being integrated and them redirecting to more of a search engine, I think this is changing quickly and strategy is more attainable. It also depends on what you’re selling and if it has value to the audience TikTok holds or if your marketing pipelines are more useful elsewhere. Target audience is an important part of this argument.
You are perfectly right, personally I prefer to use facebook or instagram.
I agree with this. The majority of TikTok users are fairly young, so I feel like all they do is watch content and maybe engage with it, but they don't really invest in anything because they don't have the money for it.
TikTok is such a fickle platform... people watch your content once, they may follow you, and that's about it. The whole model of it is to show you new content always.
I agree - yes, you might get engagements on the app but nothing will not develop into an SQL.
So many products have gone viral on TikTok and have completely sold out. So not sure I’m buying this argument.
As always, it depends on who your audience is.
