I want to get into more than just the purchasing and sourcing side of things and go into more production/shipping efficiencies. Is it worth it to go back to school for a better track to a FAANG company? The division I’m currently in seems like there are no good opportunities, and I have the funds available to finish my undergraduate full time (Canada). I applied to Amazon before for a highly senior position and made it to final interview so I think I would have a better chance for a new grad type role.

Current consultant (boutique) with offers at a large ride sharing company (starts with a U) for Strategy/BizOps and a public company in their data consulting division. Obviously different areas, but the U role is seriously lacking in comp. Anyone else take/consider much lower total comp (~30% lower) to go to strategy/biz ops?

Solos - how did you know when you were ready to hire a FT attorney?

I’m a second year associate at a small, but reputable firm. My caseload is almost entirely made up of clients who were referred to one of the partners but the partners are too busy so I end up taking the case. The clients are told up front that an associate, rather than a partner will be taking his/her case. I’ve run into an issue a couple of times where the client doubts my advice because I am only 2 years in. Has anyone else experienced this? How do I address the fact that I’m only 2 years in?

In OAH the NCP has submitted no actual earnings only hand written sched c (Uber). NCP lied under oath about how pmt for the car was made. Said a friend paid for it and he is paying a friend back. I have bank evidence that shows every car pmt came from NCP Bank and only deposits were from Uber. Problem is the car was paid off in 2018 and the CSO was from 2018. CP asked 4 mod and it was brought up to ? his credibility. How do I get it in since its not about $ now? Judge granted 1wk 4 adtl exhibits

A relative is raising a teenage son with her ex-husband. They have joint physical custody. The ex-husband has re-married. When the son is in his care, he often leaves the son at home in California with his (new) wife when he travels for work (which is often). The relative wants her ex-husband to leave their son in her care when he travels out of town but the ex-husband disagrees. The relative wants to know her chances of prevailing if she were to appear in court on this issue. Thoughts? Thanks!

My husband is the kindest, most patient and supportive man I’ve ever met other than my dear late grandfather. He is saintly. But the chaos that surrounds him hurts me. Do you think experience as a DA or PD would be valuable, with my eye toward a future in FL? Both for the skills gained, and/or as a resume piece?
