I feel like Jung von Matt is hottest right now.
Jung von Matt for sure. They've been agency of the year last year in Cannes before wieden and d5. Incredibly strong creative culture but depends a bit on which office you're in.
My top 3 creative shops in Germany:
1. Jung von Matt, Hamburg (with all 3 branches: Saga, Next Alster, Sports)
2. Heimat, Berlin
3. Grabarz & Partner, Hamburg
Also worth checking out, in no particular order:
Kolle Rebbe (Hamburg)
elbgold (Hamburg)
Antoni (Berlin)
La Red (Hamburg/Berlin)
DDB (heard it’s not a good work place, though)
Any inputs from other locals? Might learn something as well!
Agree on JvM and Grabarz. But everyone has left or is leaving Heimat, clients included. Apart from the occasional Hornbach campaign there‘s not much happening there. DDB has gone through a huge turnover and needs to rebuild things. They were able to keep the VW account, but their first football sponsorship job was 😱
Just think of it as the German version of WK.
I‘ve heard that Anomaly is doing amazing work in Berlin for really cool clients
It’s a good option if you don‘t mind giving up all of your weekends.
Dojo in Berlin is interesting. However they are super super small.
