For all you Figma users, do you share/present the Figma file with your clients? If so, how do you separate them from looking at you when you’re working on the file? It’s almost feels uncomfortable.

We create a “Presentation” file and copy and paste only the work we wanna share with them. We’ll never actually share our workspace with them. Definitely don’t want the client watching us work

Don’t hold your cards so close. It is amazing when you work out in the open. I create a page specifically for a playground of experiments while I’m working through a specific problem but otherwise the file is open is open for all.

I applied to a job at KPMG and did the first two rounds of interviews, general interview, then case study and competency. Never before have I had such a positive feedback at the end of an interview of the 2nd, both said really like me, I did well etc.
It's now been 3 weeks since the interview and I still haven't heard back from the team other than the odd HR email saying they are following up with them. Is there something going on internally, I.e hiring freeze in the London office atm?

I work through a contractor, and was hired 2yrs ago to be a Systems Test Engineer II. They decided last minute to make me a Software Content Manager, but kept my title as is since it was supposed to be a 6mo rotation. I’m still an SCM, and am taking on leadership roles in the group. How do I ask for a title change and pay increase to reflect what I actually do? Do I ask my contract house, or my NASA mgmt? Should I ask to make the pay retroactive since I was hired to do one thing, but do another?

I’m hiring another mid-level UX Designer to join my team! Great culture of kindness and inclusivity, great work-life balance, and the opportunity to work with other skilled practitioners in the UX field. The products we build are pretty cool, too.

Remote available but must be in the US and work 0% EST hours, since it reports to the NYC office. Hybrid also available if you’re local to NYC. DM me for details!

Hi fishies 🐠 I’m an Art Director that’s trying to transition over to UX Design. I have experience building websites and some previous freelance work doing some UI/UX. What’s the best route to transition over and would I need to apply for entry level roles? Does an AD role with a UI/UX focus even exist? I enjoy the thinking of UX design and am comfortable designing interfaces but I’m mostly unsure of the process of working with an UX team. Would love to hear your thoughts!

I’m a new hire and currently the only creative on a team of developers. I’ve requested Figma—but IT has pushed back, asking for “detailed business justification… explaining it is beneficial or will assist in day-to-day tasks”.

I’ve already provided info of that nature directly from Figma’s website. Suggestions on what else might convince them?

Further context: our marketing dept currently uses Sketch. And my employer’s industry is insurance claims management.

Recent career-switcher here. While I’m a veteran with the ad process, I am new to the UX agile process. Is it normal to not use briefs whatsoever? Is it normal for the UX research lead to have a stakeholder workshop (sans designers) to think of concept “thought starters,” then have a separate meeting with the UX design lead to vote on which 1 of 3 concepts to proceed with? In advertising, this is analogous to the client and researchers doing the campaign idea then telling the CD to execute it.
