Has anyone ever been "let go of"? Either laid off or fired. How did you get through it?

Anyone else bracing for layoffs? I'm getting super worried, gonna refresh the resume and get my name out there.

Recently laid off and looking for recruiters that specialize in media/strategy/advertising (both agency and client side). Sure there are others looking as well - would greatly appreciate any info.

With so much uncertainty in the economy and waves of layoffs that have hit tech especially hard... do we think there's really such a thing as a recession-proof job anymore if you're not an "essential worker"?

Working at a company and they can’t seem to hold on to their female, black and people of color employees. I blinked and 3 of the people who were in my onboarding class were either fired or they left. For context I’ve been in company less than a year and there are people who have been in the company 25yrs. I’m thinking of cutting loose before it gets to my turn.

Need some advice, I honestly suck at sales and it’s just something that’s effecting my mental health. I have grit and I bang out a bunch of calls but I’m not seeing any fruits of my labor. I wish Ad salaries were like NBA salaries. Each year you get a ridiculous raise no matter how shitty you perform. If you are good you get bird rights and no layoff clauses. And retire at 35.
