For people who have been working in accounting firms for five years or more and have long hours, do you ever feel like some of your long hours are attributed to low performers or the poor judgement of others who are working on your audits or is it just the nature of the work?

Also, for those of you who audit companies, do you have some clients who consistently provide you with easy-to-read audit support that helps speed up your audit? If so, what is the common theme in those scenarios?

Looking for advice on defending depositions. I am a first year associate and am defending my first deposition next week. I reviewed the prior transcripts from this case, and there were objections to what seemed like proper questions. Is there a strategic reason to object beyond improper form? For example, if my client is asked something that could be harmful (or at least make us look bad), should I just object? Very worried this transcript will be ex. A to pltfs’ MSJ because I didn’t object 😅
