I’d be wary of any company that is upgrading a senior consultant to a “director” role at a reputable company. Directors manage teams of senior managers, and typically have a large people tree underneath that. I’m not aware of any consulting firm that has senior consultants operating at that level. Unless Slalom has changed their hierarchy drastically during your great layoff, good luck at aiming for the moon. It has happened before but it probably isn’t normal. I mean people win the lotto or hit the jackpot at slot machines, why not you.

Manager at your experience. If you’re committed with good progress & accomplishments, senior manager within 2 to 3 years.
I am ex-consulting and was Fortune 50 for +10 years. All hires that I saw with your experience were either managers and occasionally analysts.
