Hello Fishes,
I left capegemini on 4th of Feb and I still haven't got my relieving letter as well as experience letter. I'm trying to access my capegemini portal from webvpn.capgemini.com but I'm not able to access that either. Please suggest me what should be done, my next employer is asking for relieving letter.

Are there any countries in the EU you’re looking at particularly where we could focus the advice towards? Are you looking for insight on the visa process or just moving in general across the ocean?
Nice! I currently live in Amsterdam so I can provide some insight here. I came to the Netherlands on a Highly Skilled Migrant work visa that was sponsored by my work. A key qualifier (beyond the salary minimum) was that I needed to be recruited from abroad (US in my case). If your employer has internal resources devoted to recruiting employees from abroad, it will make it easier but will still cost $$$ for the move itself. One of the benefits of the HSM is that it can help provide you with the 30% ruling, which upon approval will provide you with some tax relief and money back in the bank that should offset *some* of the moving costs over time.
There’s a lot more to say here, so happy to chat more on specific questions via DM
Read over your contract VERY carefully; understand the laws of your new country and your contract. Agencies (especially holding company ones) will take advantage of the fact you're a foreigner and unlikely to know labor laws and contracts and can screw you in so many ways
I’d do it sooner.
Although, I’m in the U.K., so we’re not even EU anymore 😭. What country are you considering?
The Netherlands or any German-speaking country
