I take meds to manage migraines that come with debilitating vertigo. When it's truly bad, you can absolutely see via my face/actions/speech that something is off. The vertigo will take me out for a solid day.
No one will enforce your limits except you. Whether that is taking breaks at certain times, going to medical appointments, therapies, etc, limits will help. My body doesn't care if I feel bad about missing work. At some point, it will just fall apart. Do I like my necessary habits? No. Will they keep me from crashing? Absolutely.

Can you adjust your schedule going forward so you build in more downtime and breaks, by taking intermittent FMLA, going part-time, working from home more, or some combination of these strategies?
