Don't buy an Audi (unreliable money pit) and don't buy a new car (loses value the minute it's delivered).

likefunny

D1 he didn't ask for the most boring recommendations.

German cars are great until about 60-75k miles.
Never buy German, Lease it, rent it but never buy it.
Go Japanese for the long run. ( My opinion )

like

Get the A6 — it’s worth the incremental and still 2 years away at least from a complete refresh.

All new A5 will be starting delivery soon so you’ll be getting an older product.

like

Why is the A6 worth thousands more, exactly? OP could get an S5 instead of A5 for A6 money.

Seems like you’re focused on having the absolute latest and greatest. First year of a redesign is not always the best idea, as reliability is a complete unknown.

Not that styling is everything, and obviously I’m biased, but current A5/S5/RS5 Sportback is one of the best designs on the road.

like

I have had 2 A6s and been driving an S5 Sportback since 2018.

Based on those two options I would absolutely go with the A5, as long as it’s the Sportback. Still 4 door, 5 passenger like the A6, with much better utility, looks, and driving dynamics.

That said, I agree that getting a brand new car is ill-advised, unless the deal is crazy (not sure how A5 is configured but sounds quite reasonable). Still the depreciation curve is quite steep. If they have good lease rates, you could go that route.

I would go for a pre-owned (possibly CPO) one with low miles and some warranty left. Your money will go further and depreciation will be much slower, so you won’t be immediately upside down.

Disagree that Audis are unreliable. I’ve been driving them since 2011 with minimal issues and have plenty of friends and family who love theirs too.

Thank you.

If you can do an EV, they are by far the lowest total cost to own in that range of cars.

like

Just get a lightly used M340i. Reliable, quick and you won't deal with the initial depreciation

like

Your first car?? Are you new to driving or just living in a place where a car is not a necessity? Assuming you can afford the car and are looking for something considered “luxury”. I’d really look at something like a 1 or 2 year old off lease. Depreciation kills these and similar BMW, MB’s, etc.
They are fine autos as long as you take it to an actual Audi dealership for service/maintenance. Be sure to budget for that as it’s not included.

Ok thank you

Hi everyone,

I have got the ey hr mail stating i should provide him with aadhar card, information sheet and latest resume for a audit and assurance contract for 6 months as iam a semi qualified CA.

Here my question is should i take this opportunity. Cause since this is only for 6 months. After that, what i can do, where should I try to get the job?

In mid size firms, people won't pay as much as big 4 pays.

Should I take it or am I making a mistake by taking this.

Need a sanity check here.

When I joined my current company, we were on a quarterly bonus structure with guaranteed payouts each quarter. This was, in fact, how the recruiter said he could meet my salary request.

The company just announced we are moving to annual payouts only, with no payments for 2023 until May 2024. There are no raises happening.

This amounts to 12% less money in my pocket in 2023 plus inflation.

Is this standard, or should I be looking for opportunities elsewhere?

Hey small agency friends with kids! Quick question. Our agency’s family health care is expensive (ranges from $1700/mon with normal deductible to $1100/mon with super high deductible). If anyone out there (at a small NYC agency) has a better plan and is comfortable sharing, would you mind telling me who your company uses? My kids’ college funds thank you!
