I have no tips because I’ve never bought a 911, but damn i am jelly. You must be excited!
5 month wait, picked up yesterday 😍
Carrera 2wd, $118k. I would have loved to gone with the full leather and the burmeister sound, but that would have added $10-$12k. I did my best to show restraint and kept it under $20k in options.
Pro
Very excited. Never built a car from scratch before, always cars off the lot

Get a quote from your local credit union. I don’t think Porsche rates are particularly favorable.
Definitely do local credit Union - very good rates vs the other lenders
Google local credit unions around you, start application for car loan, submit said application, get decision, complete purchase, repay credit Union car loan
I’d also take a look at whomever you primary bank is. For instance I use BoA/ML and get a nice discount for being a banking and investments client. My 911 starts production next week and I’m struggling not to rethink last minutes color/wheel choices!

My freeze date was two weeks ago. I changed from Aventurine Green to Guards Red at the last minute. What's your build look like?
What spec are you getting? How was the dealer experience?
Pro
Getting the base Carrera with Sport Chrono, glass sunroof, red exterior with red seat belts and a few other options.
Dealer experience was great. Was choosing between the Taycan, Boxster and 911. I had a Cayman before so I was familiar with how the Boxster would drive, but needed to try the Taycan and 911. They had a base 911 in stock so I was able to try it. Was instantly hooked
Porsche FS are fine to deal with and decent integration with your Porsche account etc but cheaper rates are out there. Lending criteria was more in my favor at PFS due to shallow credit but better understanding of the securitized asset value.
Through BOA, received 2.39% at 60 months, easily beat PFS.

I did BOA 2.14% for 72. Very good rate
