Moving away from home would only be a two hour commute but I would need to find my own place to live
The job search is really rough right now. I would suggest networking and trying to get referrals. Sometimes a referral can help you get your foot in the door somewhere.
That is a tough one. If you can swing it, I would say a job and gaining experience is better than nothing. But if you can’t live on it, then what’s it for?
Thai is a tough situation - is there any opportunity for the old employer to allow for remote work / occasional in person? Maybe you could commute 1 x week. Although the commute would be tough at least you’d be saving some money and building experience
No need to wait for other opportunities. Work paycheck to paycheck while you look for other jobs nonstop. The easiest way to get a job is to have a job. Being unemployed too long will kill you. You also don't owe loyalty to an employer like working for them for a minimum number of years. If something better gets offered to you, you take it.
