Time at a company is just one tiny factor among many when it comes to promotions. I have peers who do not want to be promoted for a variety of reasons. If you’d end up with those people as direct reports, make sure you focus on shared goals, don’t go on a power trip, and all should be fine.

I'm at wits end guys. After spending the past 2 years producing and learning new skills in the gaming industry. I'm completely unable to find work.
I have 8+ years of experience as a full stack web developer with a strong set of design skills having begun my career in User Experience Design.
