After 4+ working in tech sales, I moved to Accenture in mid-May to join a new sales development program. Worried it was a step backwards but I was told during the interviews that while I won’t be on a commission plan, I can expect to “graduate” in about a year or two - although “based on my background” he saw no issues with me advancing quicker. Now I hear it will be timeline based, so expecting it to take maybe 2-3yrs… Should I wait it out? Is it too soon to change jobs?

A recruiter for a company that I was excited to work for has ghosted on me (it’s been a week since they have given me updates). I’ve been told that things are delayed bc several key folks are on vacation atm.

How should I approach this situation? Several other companies I’m interviewing with is reaching final rounds, but tbh I’m not as interested in those roles. Plus I’m getting antsy being unemployed for several weeks since I was laid off.

I had a screening interview with an AmLaw200 firm and after sending a thank you to the practice group leader for the interview and receiving a nice note back, and during the interview, I got positive vibes. But it's almost been a week (6 days) and I haven't heard anything from them. What is the normal time to wait to hear if I will be moving forward in the process and does anyone recommend following up with the recruiter (if so, what would you say)?

Annoyed. Interviewed with McKinsey recruiter who stated she liked my profile. Forwarded it to hiring manager who apparently shot me down before even talking to me. Why not run it past him first?

Hello all, posting the first time here. Had a first round for a product manager interview at Carta. It went well. Hiring manager confirmed moving to the next round. Also something that came as a bit of surprise - hiring manager suggested a couple of other product manager roles which they are actively looking for and asked to think over which one to go for. The suggested PM roles are in the fund administration space. Looking for suggestions on what to do here. Also please suggest TC expectations

How do you politely turn down a job offer or back out of interview at last step without burning bridges? After meeting the hiring manager and stakeholders I don’t think we’re a good fit. This job also requires relocation. I don’t want to take a job and uproot my life for something that isn’t the right fit. I’m currently unemployed so feeling a bit desperate but also don’t want to move for something that isn’t right. Thanks!
