Dear Lord, don't take ozempic. I promise you can find your way out with the eating habits - have you tried the help of a trainer? Sometimes, we all just need a strict accountability partner and soon, things will become your new normal. I would never suggest ozempic as a solution but do it if that's what you gotta do.
I can't imagine it's worth risking side effects from a fairly new medication just to lose 12 pounds. Start taking a walk every day and watch your portions and you can drop that by summer. It'll be easier and healthier than messing around with a weight loss drug.
Please do not take these medications for such minor weight loss. I’ve used them successfully to lose over 100 lbs but obviously I had a lot of weight to lose and the side effects and risks were way less worrisome than the ones I was plagued with at my then weight. I will say though that I gained 11 lbs of muscle while losing those 100 lbs over all—in large part because you have to be active for the meds to be most effective and as I lost weight I was able to be more active.
I don’t think it’s worth it for only 12 lbs! I’m not sure what your workout routine looks like, but consider this: add a 1 hour long power walk to your day.
My aunt is already in crazy amazing shape, but signed up for this trending 16 week fitness program as a challenge (it’s like a foreign version of 75 hard). The only cardio takes place daily in the form of an hour long power walk in addition to 5-6 weight training sessions per week.
After a few weeks she lost TOO much weight and her coach had her to stop doing the walk. The idea is waking is less hard on your body, easy to sustain for an hour while keeping your heart rate up, but not too high as to spike your appetite. You do need to hustle tho: shoot for 4 miles per hour.
I have a beach trip coming up so I’m in your same boat! I started adding the walk last week and it’s no joke!
