What are the gender ratios at other companies? I’m currently the only woman on a dev team of 21 software engineers... yikes that’s <5%
Hi ladies, looking for advice: My team is tiny and we're recruiting for someone below my level Myself and the only other junior (above me) both didn't decide to push one candidate forward as she was just eh (and personally, she no-showed once and was late) plus there were definitely better candidates However, my manager wanted to push her forward anyways (I believe for diversity/personal bias) Given my manager has a lot of influence in general, I'm stressed she's going to get the role (CONT)
Also it’s been really hard to get new accts/pitching brands any advice would be appreciated. Looking to work with brands that support women, diversity, and social impact.

Interesting…while married he pursued women at his company in a “non predatory way” aka good old fashioned womanizer/cheater ways. What’s sad is while Melinda was focusing her efforts and 1 Billion $ to help women combat sexual harassment, bias and stereotypical representations that perpetuate harmful gender norms, her husband was the harasser.
I’m watching the creativity awards on ad age. I decided to take a shot everytime I see a POC nominated. So its been 35 minutes and I have only seen one. But that wasn’t even the surprising part. When they went to the Inclusion award that’s when I just started laughing at the amount of Karen’s and Micheals in position. Not one person with a shade of color was in the category lol 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
I just had a recruiter email me about a position that 1. I was way over qualified for 2. paid WAY under market even for the qualifications listed and 3. USED A GENDER SPECIFIC JOB DESCRIPTION. “He drives projects… he interlocks with teams… he drives innovation” soooo that was a first even for a female who’s been an engineer and a consultant for ten years. I need to get a drink bc the men are driving me crazy today.
Every time I see a departing exec replaced by a white guy (coughAngelaSteele/MikeLaw) a little part of me dies inside. Every exec departure is an opportunity to increase diversity at the senior level. SMH.

I stand behind and support women and gender equality a 110% but don't get what was the intended outcome? Was there a CTA to go to a site to act/support /donate to bring about change?
