Diagonals are covered calls with a Call replacing the equity. Even as similar as they are, Vega, Delta, and IV become critical to understand.

Learning the Greeks is the first step.

I have had better luck on Fidelity’s site. Think Or swim is very complicated to do multi leg option trades. Plus Fidelity has very robust tools to help you find opportunities for each type of strategy.
