I think anything in life is worth a shot! Would this be a management position in an engineering company? If so, then go ahead and apply for a role, you never know!
How long have you been working and what are your skills? If you can successfully translate those into a management position, then congrats! But never step out of your comfort zone if you are not sure about it. Taking risks is good but not always!
What kind of management position are you looking to apply for? I think it's a very different job, definitely more administrative and laborious, but if you want to go for it, nothing in life comes easily. Best of luck!
@engineering systems 1 I have 7+ YOE as an engineer. I'm honestly looking to see what others have done and if they thought it was worth it. I was considering engineering management
I value the salary, and the ability to continue being productive and moving forward. I definitely enjoy a challenge, though I'm not sure if I'm nearing the ceiling for pay for my LCOL area. I've been questioning if it's worth staying in engineering or trying to move around to different fields of engineering or just try to climb the corporate ladder.
