Have you ever had a conversation with a customer where you felt like their therapist and thought, “I should be paid extra for this”. I recently had a call with a customer whose son had used his credit card without his knowledge on gaming apps, spending $1,500 in the last 2 months. It wasn’t fraud or a dispute as the services were provided for what was paid. I felt really bad for him and I ended up having a genuine human-to-human talk with him. It made me think I really should be paid for this.

Just checking in… How was your review? Did you get a raise, bonus, both or neither? How are you feeling about your job going into 2023?

Throwing this out there. How normal is it for a company to require the social media manager to be the primary content creator, editor, copywriter, scheduler/poster,and community engagement manager for 9 brands. If this is the norm what are your thoughts.

I’ve worked in sales for 12 years (8 years retail sales and management, 4 years inside tech sales and management). I’m feeling the burn and looking for something else in the tech field. I’m making $140k. I have a college degree but no marketing, engineering, or product experience. What other departments/jobs could I jump to and still keep close to my OTE? I’m pretty good at Salesforce and have thought about a SFDC admin type role, but that’s all I’ve thought of so far.

So I just started a new job in sales (B2B specifically). All my life I’ve been in blue collar jobs, military, then construction work ect. I don’t have much money saved to get myself my own business cards as I’m sure they are important to have, I’ve got all the info that I need to go out and start selling. I guess what I’m looking for is just tips on how you guys were successful walking into a whole new arena if that makes sense?

Can we talk about privacy vendors? We are looking for a platform to handle data inventory and/or data discovery, as well as automating the privacy impact assessment process. We already have vendors for DSARs and cookies. Do most people consolidate all these functions to one platform or use multiple? So I am working as a UI UX designer since Jan22. I started with a really good project (everything from the scratch) with research, knowing the user etc. The project went really well. It was my first project that I handled individually. I got another project it also went well. Then I was told to work directly with a client, it's been 2 months already we work late hours and also on weekend (asked by the client). It feels like my personal life is gone. Do you think I should change job?

Jr. Associate at an AmLaw 100 firm in Central Florida. Good credentials; top 10% at T14, law review. Sick of private practice bc of hours and pressure. Also, not enjoying the work that Central Florida offers, but want to live here.

I want to one day have my own firm. Trying to think outside the box on how to get the experience w/o being in big law for ten years.

Hi, just got an offer from A&M as D (Performance Improvement). The base from Glassdoor is accurate (US as a benchmark). Bonus is much higher than my current. Anyway the base seems very low compared to S& SA in US.
1) is it true that the base is that low compared to junior-mid level at S&?
2) i am based in Asia, any different rate compared to other region at A&M?
3) the TC can be 3x that what I can get currently, but i can make partner in few years at PwC. Do you think A&M should be considered?

For those of you that currently pay 30% of gross income towards rent, do you still have money to save? I’m moving to NYC and am used to paying only 15%. Pay is now 125k base so I’m looking for apartments around 2800-3k
