You negotiated a salary that you were happy with. If you came in to me as a new hire and asked for a raise, I would probably laugh. Show that you are worth more, and then bring it up at your annual review.
You right
I have never regretted my salary, and I do not compare my skills and salary to others’ gross income. However, it has been disheartening to observe the disparity between people in my position and those who seemingly have it all.
For example, salespeople, managers, and even merchandisers often receive bonuses, while accounting receives none. Individuals with plumbing and chemical skills have been hired to troubleshoot complex aviation issues, highlighting inconsistencies in role recognition and compensation roles I can hardly imagine being part of it while watching news of fallen Airbus incidents.
It is also concerning to see inconsiderate, deceitful absentee parents and individuals struggling with substance abuse neglect their responsibilities for child support and alimony, yet hold significant income and power while still relying on the system for support while complaints about it. Meanwhile, those who diligently work and care for their families face financial crises and professional inequities.
Recently, I was reviewing some paperwork and came across the term “imputed income,” and it's concerning on how some people take advantage of it to their benefit, which further highlights systemic inequities.
I have learned to handle it not by pretending or being pretentious, but by maintaining my professionalism and performing my responsibilities with integrity despite the disparities and inequities around me. These experiences, observations, and confessions from people that I have met along the way has made me think deeply on others’ chaos and the poor yet often selfish choices some make in their own self-interest thus I am therefore looking forward to ADP and the the platform on sincerity.
Are you OK AS1?
I understand that you may have concerns regarding the salary, but I have already managed similar challenges while interacting with individuals who showed little regard for my well-being or the stability of their own families. Few people endure repeated tests without rest or support, yet I have continued forward with resilience and determination.
A verdict represents truth, justice, and transparency the moment when the real story, including fair recognition of salary, is finally acknowledged. Compensation reflects behaviors and actions and will be recognized accordingly.
When leadership takes decisive action, the removal of gravel symbolizes clearing obstacles, dismantling falsehoods, eliminating confusion, and revealing what has been hidden beneath the surface. People often feel the need to rally externally to address salary disparities, but the most effective course is to advocate for oneself and seek remedies directly. True power exists when you stand up for yourself, rather than depending on people who care little for themselves or others, as such individuals often lack self-respect.
When these forces align: truth is revealed, salary barriers are removed, and clarity replaces uncertainty.
I often notice that some people talk about salary and what they could achieve, yet take no concrete steps toward change. True progress comes from action, persistence, and self-advocacy. From what I learned from my father, who held a leadership position, decisions should be made swiftly and decisively, because clarity and action drive results. If an individual cannot distinguish between right and wrong, they will consistently struggle in salary negotiations. It is not about how much you make, but about how effectively you position yourself because your lifetime communication and responsible decision would upgrade your respect, value and salary.
