All the time, mostly in small to medium sized corporations that don’t invest in their people or their IT. Or places where some of their key folks have been in their positions/company too long and they accept how things are as the norm.

Can you give more clarity on what you mean by auto pilot and full reaction? Example scenarios because IT is huge department with several different processes falls in it

Yes. It drives me insane when we go to clients of all different industries and their IT just reacts to everything versus having GOOD and tested standards, policies, and producers in place to mitigate potential issues.

This is exactly what I'm talking about.

I understand the "this needs to get done and it's a priority" kind of work, but when there are enough of those bad practice/poor implementations stack up and compound into a management nightmare.

I've heard people complain about "IT for IT's sake" and the same about security, but the alternative is chaos.

Hi fellow PMs, Question for the group: has anyone here made the switch from being a creative agency PM to a digital producer or digital agency PM? I.e. going from managing creative projects like TV to managing website builds/UX projects. If so, what was the transition like and what helped you get your bearings in the new environment? I’m thinking about making the switch myself but I don’t have a digital background.
