Remember how Kansas tried to make trickle down economics work at the state level after it didn't work at the national level? Pepperidge Farm remembers.....

Trickle down economics through corporate investment is a myth and now it will be proved at a national level.

2008. That's how. We have done this already.

You are obviously more well informed than me. Perhaps you can answer a few questions I have about your viewpoint.
1) In a world where shareholder profit is sacrosanct, how will corporations be able to justify using tax savings to hire additional people if it can be used to give dividends or perform buyback of stock in order to return the gains to shareholders?
2) Some companies will want to use the savings to invest in capital expenditures and increase product offwrings. What percentage do you see this occurring when businesses are trending away from using CapEx dollars vs OpEx dollars (especially in IT and manufacturing)?
3) Perhaps you can enlighten me on the likelihood that companies will add new employees to the roster and actually retain the majority of them after they continue to move those positions overseas in order to make quarterly profit projections for the shareholders? Corporate benevolence in that respect doesn't exist in this world unless there's money to be made by it.

Too bad we never reign in spending regardless cycle. Taxes either.

like

Yes. Until the recessions. Then our services will be cut.

like

Fiscal policy isn’t a one size fits all deal. When the economy is doing well, you raise taxes to pay your bills and save for later. So when the economy hits the shitter you can cut em and help ppl spend to get things back on track. When the next recession hits (not saying bc of this bill) we will have no tools to deal with it - keep in mind interest rates are already hella low

like

And totally agree with M1 that more money for businesses => more stock buybacks, more dividends, more bonuses and more investment in technology in order to improve productivity. This sure as shit ain’t gonna raise wages

like

Why weren't you the biggest fan of this bill? You hate having more money?

like

Yes. Yes they will. Across several of our verticals and practices.

How are people not a fan of lower taxes and less stupid deductions?

EY1 is obviously a youngin that doesn't remember the .com bust or the Savings and Loan bust. None of them, including 2008, are even closely correlated to tax reform.

It is anecdotal, but I've never done a technology implementation that resulted in a net loss of employees. CRM implementations are great investments and require new hires.

It’s just so fucking hilarious that a few months ago republicans were all “but muh deficit” and now that they can team this piece of shit bill through in record time (and that’s not a good thing) the deficit doesn’t mean shit. I am probably as fiscally moderate as you can get - Corp tax rate should be lowered (25-27% ideally) to repatriate income, and we should cut out some of the bs spending. But I would like to have access to Medicare when I’m older and that ain’t gonna happen at this rate

if that's your first thought I need to get out of this business

Equally as hilarious that democrats now pretend to care about it after 8 years of ignoring it. Its all a joke

Anyone have the name and contact info for the HR Lead at WundermanThompson Health? I need it for a background check and can’t seem to find it anywhere. TIA

So, I’m interviewing for a position that fits perfectly, HR likes my profile, had great conversations with them. Today I had a Panel interview with HR and the hiring manager. The manager is not experienced, it’s her first r manager role and she’s been in it for 3 months. I was prepared but was out of breath the entire interview, had a knot in my throat, had trouble finding my words. It’s like I had PTSD when this manager came into the picture. Ever had that?

Hi guys 👋🏻
So I joined IBM 5 months back, was on bench for this long and got project just a week back.

My PSP and People Manager have been kind of lenient, cooperative and kind to me because I was never told I will be put in PIP, I have to enter project not matching my skillset etc etc.

Is it wise to appreciate both of them via blue points for their support?

I just got a mail saying I have 200 bluepoints to send out appreciations if I feel like.
