CFA or CAIA?

CFA charterholder: the CFA still carries significantly more weight in finance circles. That said, don’t expect either to immediately pay off on their own.

If you’re looking to break to industry and you have experience though, this will set you apart and likely allow you to level up or push the high end of the pay band.

I'm starting a Event Management business in Middle Tennessee area.

I have a few questions as I am admit I am unintelligent in some realms of business and trying to learn some of the ropes.

For one, as I make profits I worry about not making sure I set enough aside for tax season and making it through my first year smoothly.

What do you recommend is the best method to keep track of that? I'm not dumb to how to get started on softwares of different kinds. (Continued in comments.) 🙂

Hi Fishes,

I have close to 2 years of experience in web analytics and I have an offer in hand to work in the same domain. (Offer from a Big 4 and relocation)

I don't think I would want a career in this as I feel it would require coding at some point which I don't want to.

On the other hand, I'm looking to switch my domain into Product Management.. currently don't have any offer or experience related to PM role.

I'm confused if should I go with the offer in hand or wait till I get a PM role.

Struggling to determine which firms can help with PM roles AND I'm struggling to get the ones I do find to respond to me. It may have something to do where I'm at in my career - 15+ years of PM experience & director-level roles at my last 2 companies - so more exec level but not quite C-Suite. Have tons of one-off recruiters hitting me up on LinkedIn about contract PM roles but that's not what I want.

Got two offers this week!

If company A is offering more base w/ lower overall TC while company B is offering less base w/ overall higher TC, can I bring company B’s offer to company A to negotiate for an even higher base?

I’m not too bullish about company A’s RSUs and wouldn’t really find it that much more appealing if they increased that portion of TC.

And for those just starting the search, know that the offers do come. I started this process in Jan/Feb.
