Haven’t heard back from McK since I submitted my resume through a referral 1.5months ago (experienced hire). The person who referred me says it’s still “under review”. Is there any way I can follow up with my application, or should I just take this as a rejection?

Coming up on three weeks since my partner interview at McK. I was referred by someone. Recruiter said that a decision would be made by mid last week, but haven’t heard anything either way. My assumption is that they’ve offered it to someone else and are waiting to hear back before cutting me loose. Is this common? Should I reach back out? Been about two weeks since I’ve spoken to the recruiter.

I applied to BCG at the end of July as an experienced hire and didn't get an interview (just the Pymetrics then a rejection email). A partner was referring me. Should I assume my resume needs major improvement or that my timing for applying was bad (i.e. maybe they'd already completed their experienced hiring for the year)?

I'll probably apply again in a year or so and just want to know what I should be working on.
