I am in my interview process and cleared 2 rounds, 3rd round also went well as per me but its been almost 2 weeks they are not proceeding further and in the portal it shows application status as In progress. When I check with the recruiter they say that they are yet to receive feedback. Is there any chance or I should consider it as a rejection?

One of my friends, he made a switch just 6 months back hoping he would get a better work environment a better package, but now he is just frustrated with the working environment, being a backend developer he has been asked to just fix bugs for almost 5 months now and that too in javascript without any KTs or any other trainings when he clearly did mention in the interview that he does not have prior knowledge on javascript.

What should he do? Any suggestions?

Should I be reaching out to recruiters and hiring managers after applying to jobs? I've mostly been applying through LinkedIn, so finding the right person isn't hard. I'm just afraid of coming across as obnoxious!

During interview I was speaking to the hiring manager. Felt interview was going well. He seemed impressed by my answers, excited by my skills, and even gave me a tour of the office. At the end, he asked about my home life. When I spoke of my 3 young kiddos, the manager got a little taken back and replied Oh you have children? I said yes ages 3, 5, and 7. He then proceeded to ask me about daycare arrangements and if I can be reliable. Red flag as his demeanor changed and made me feel unworthy.
