Nope. I wouldn't take that to live in Chicago. I live in BFE, NC and was paid that when I first started with this company 10 years ago.
Thanks for the feedback. After looking at the cost of living just to rent in comparison to me owning in Alabama, I couldn’t validate the math. They offered a sign on bonus of $8k which was enticing but wouldn’t last long in all actuality.
Counter and see if they’ll go up, explain your reasoning. Sounds like you’re going to turn it down otherwise so I don’t see the harm in trying, especially since they are over their max already. Seems like they want you.
Kay jewelers, am interested in this job
.
What salary did you provide initially at the start of the process? What's their range? If you initially discussed a different salary, counter. If you initially said 95k was good, you could counter, but it's likely they could rescind the offer.
Counter offer!
Just employee health insurance
i did the same move 4 years ago for a finserv company and it’s definitely doable. just depends on where you live and how much you want to spend on rent etc
Do you have any recommendations on apartment complexes? I ideally would not exceed $2400/month on a one bedroom unit.
Al Capone of the Chicago Mafia would have said $20,000 forgot about it ,No Problem, but your new employer I am not so sure if thats a Wise ask, since they may take it as a Current Offer you're not so thrilled about ?
