Larry having 2 FT jobs but only working 40/50 hours a week seems unethical as he’d be at 80 hours per week if he were really working 2 FT jobs in an ethical
Manner.
I agree - full time jobs are usually exempt from overtime. If the work gets done in 60 hours that week, they are paid the same salary. If the work gets done in 15 hours that week, they get the same salary. I think that employees that get the work done in 15 hours shouldn't be penalized for their efficency. Let them continue to be productive. Let them pick up another role and do the work in 1/5 the time.
The math doesn't add up. If someone is working an hourly job and they're working two, it would amount to more than 40-50 hours. Now, if they're working jobs that aren't on the clock, in other words what matters are the deliverables, not the time put in, that's a different story. If you can get everything done in an hour, no one cares as long as the work is done to a satisfactory standard.

I agree, especially if the job is salaried rather than hourly. If the project or work product can be completed in less time than what is accepted as the "typical" 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, the time spent for the pay should not matter.
