I am going through a divorce right now. I currently have a (my) family member stay with me to help take care of my children (until the divorce is finalized). My ex is oppose to my family member staying in the same house and decided to serve a notice to vacancy. However, I live in CA (community property state), and both of our names are on the title. Does my ex have any legal grounds to take such action to evict my visiting family member?

Is it legal to use taskrabbit or hire a plumber to fix an issue without my landlords knowledge if I feel that my landlord is being slow about addressing an issue like possible mold from a leak? Question: can an employer legally withhold your personal possessions after you leave the firm? I left my old firm recently and they were not happy about me joining another consultancy. They are withholding any belongings that I left in the office and have ignored my emails asking to arrange a pick up or delivery of my personal items.
