Yeah good to go and will maintain it so long as you keep current with any of the state bar requirements for CLE or whatever. Basically what I’m doing now.
Same here. Some firms will also reimburse the annual bar dues and CLEs if you have a certification req or can take external CEs.
Yup
Ok
I did have similar discussion about CPA with someone.
It’ll be almost impossible to be licensed CPA if you are not working in accounting/tax etc even if you clear CPA exams since experience will be required for licensure. I was wondering if this applies to lawyers too.
No you get the license after completing law school and passing the bar. No experience required to be licensed if that’s what you mean.
Yes, doing it as we speak.
I like keeping the option open of doing transactional work. I’m back in industry, so it would actually be a fairly easy transition to make. Plus, I enjoy contracts and would like to return to that work one day.
Yup, I meant getting the license and maintaining it if you aren’t practicing the law and working in some totally unrelated profession.
Doing it as we speak now too. I’m sitting for the bar exam this year and hoping to join one of the branches of the armed services as a JAG reservist. Gotta get those VA benefits, ya know.
Hi Accenture 1, how doable is working full time while going to school at night? If u don’t mind me asking, which law school did u go? And it offers all classes at night?
