For those of you who build websites, how do you display your built sites on your portfolio site? Do you have a page where you mock up the site or do you do a direct link? I currently have both. I’m just trying to figure out the best way for me. Here is my site for reference. The links for the sites are in the menu and below in the gallery. Sarahbellestudios.com

I did this class https://www.harley-davidson.com/us/en/content/motorcycle-training/learn-to-ride.html
Ended up not getting a Harley but it was a great way to learn. Plus I got a discount on my insurance for passing the class
Find a good msf course. I ended up renting bikes for a year to find what I liked.

I learned on a dirt bike (about 3 hours) then started on my Yamaha VStar 650 (Harley type bike). If you are in a big city, I definitely recommend a class and some real world experience/practice away from the city. I learned in college with a city population under 20k. Good luck and stay safe!
MSF course (helps with the basics and in some states removes the driving part of your license certification), quality riding gear and an underpowered starter bike that you can practice on. "It is more fun to ride a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow." - Source Unknown.
All the best on getting started on this fun adventure - Do keep us posted on your progress!
Start on a slow bike like a Harley. 250- 300cc max. If you want to get more advanced with speed and turning capabilities to race and ride mountain twisties after the Harley, get a superbike, 600 cc max.
I don’t think there is a Harley in that range. Even the Street is a 500cc. Get a sportster, a little top heavy but not a bad first bike.
Thank you all! Last question, how do I find a starter bike? I am looking at anything less than 250-300cc, but do I buy used? Rent?
Facebook marketplace is the spot. I’ve owned over 20 bikes and am addicted to it.
Pick which models ur after: r3, ninja 300/400, g310r, rebel 250, etc
Hit search and see what u find. Don’t go over $3k on a beginner bike as you’ll be dropping it
Don't get 250-300. You'll be bored within hours of riding those. Get a 500, 650. Look at kawasaki Vulcan s. The most beginner friendly/forgiving bike there is. My first bike and still can't get over how awesome it is after 2 years of riding it.
Where are you located?
If going the sports bike route, start on a used 400/300cc to build muscle memory, master the basics, and keep entry costs reasonable. Then sell it in a year and upgrade if it no longer fits your needs.
1000km in, finally starting to get a bit bored of my cbr300r since the speed feels like driving a car when on the highway, but I've signed up for a racetrack course to rebaseline my learning curve. I'd recommend a Ninja 400 or R3, as the top speed is more than anything you really need, has a slipper clutch, and a 650+ can magnify beginner/user error a lot more (e.g. heavy throttle hand, poor cornering technique, bad downshifting, rough braking or clutch handling).
I am an MSF instructor. Take the BRC, thank me later!
