Hey everyone! I recently got an offer from Qualcomm . I am satisfied with salary and the perks. But in the internet, I've been seeing many negative reviews about work life balance in Qualcomm. I'm just worried about it. My role is Senior IT Software Developer. Can someone please provide insights on it.

Yes it's true, in Qualcomm work life balance is not promoted and culture is not good. If you are coming from service based and want to learn and ready to give up on work life balance it's fine. Most of the teams in Hyderabad do not have a good WLB, and such term is not even recognised in the company. Many teams are understaffed, so getting overload with work is expected. And given the company's cost cutting currently doesn't seems it would improve.
If you are married, and if your priority is work life balance I would suggest for some other company.
Can you explain the situation in QC Bangalore? I got an offer there.
Would you mind sharing the offer you got and your yoe?
5 yoe and 23 lpa
Genuine advice- check for 2 things.
1. Actual work details of team from insider. The job description and actual team work are entirely different and once you get into it, it will be late. Ofcourse hiring manager/team will not tell you. I am victim of it.
2. Team culture overall.
I feel you!
All developers are not developers in Qualcomm India. They are not using their brain, so many smart people doing debugging.
How many days it took to get the offer after technical rounds?
Around 1 month approx to complete the interview process and offer letter is released pretty soon after that
Yes wlb is very very bad.. but if no strings attached (family, kids etc) take opportunity and you can shift later.. having Qc in resume will be always good
Okay...will see what happens 😅, thank you so much
How did your hr interview go? I did not have any hr interview as such... They just emailed me asking for details like cctc, ectc etc.
I called them and they said it will take 7-8 days to process your offer. Should I be hopeful? I'm not sure about the interview process
What offer did they finally gave? I'm expecting them to finalize it tomorrow so it will be helpful for me to decide and negotiate.
Is 23 LPA whole CTC or its just the base, if its just the base please brief about other components as well ( Joining bonus, stocks etc..,)
