Yuuuuuuup
Hahah coming in here to say guilty is charged, I have a mountain of gear that I just can't let go of
😂 yes a Lil
I definitely have trouble letting go of old gear, even if I know I won't use it anymore. Part of it is the sentimental value, and part of it is the fear of not having something in case I need it. But at some point, you have to let go and make room for new things.
I definitely have this same issue! I have so much gear that I don't use anymore, but I can't seem to let go of it. I guess I just hold onto it in case I need it someday. But realistically, I'll never use most of it again. It's just taking up space in my closet!
Selling off my old stuff felt so good. More room, more money, and some newbies who couldn't afford new got to buy some quality affordable gear.
I still have my first ever guitar. I'll keep it forever. So many memories with this thing. So I feel you 100%
I even have trouble getting rid of random screenshots that mean nothing at all. Just imagine how much more difficult it gets with objects that hold sentimental value. I have a whole room dedicated to old stuff I can't bring myself to let go of.
The "I might need this one day" pressure is very real. I had to start selling things off for a move and haven't once thought "I wish I still had that." I'm way more selective now. Less clutter and more mulla is a win win.
Totally. My family always considered me as a hoarder. Lol. The "I might need this someday" narrative is to blame hahaha. Good thing I had the courage to sell them. Now I have the means to invest in more quality equioments.
Haha! Omg same here! I am a hoarder and extremely sentimental. I keep everything and I can't just let them go!
Count me in! You are not alone, OP! You'll never know what will happen in the future. Better keep them safe.
