Hey Glassdoor Community, I have been searching for my next remote position since 09/09/24, I got a few interviews, but it didn’t lead to a job. The skills that I have is in QuickBooks Online , Payroll, Payments, Reconcile Accounts and working with some Accountants to add a new client to their account. I also have experience in data entry, inbound and outbound calls, Turbo Tax helping customers prepare their taxes and filing them, but so for I haven’t found anything, am I doing something wrong?

6 months pregnant and just laid off. And 40% of my severance was just taken in taxes .. I just spoke with paid family leave and I no longer qualify even though I had been paying into the program (thanks NY).. I am about to embark a new role remotely. It is also a fully remote role as well, love to hear personal success stories of how their onboarding and learning has been in a remote role and any tips/best practices

Left PA and started industry remotely. Haven’t been in the office. Met my team one time. Tips are to always be on video for even the smallest of calls. Take a ridiculous amount of notes. In downtime, go through your notes and come up with questions by reperforming old work. Set up recurring question sessions with your team so you know what to do next time. Set up performance meetings even monthly because it’s hard to get a gauge on your performance
