Hi all,

I've worked in entry-level HR roles for 4–5 years and have used Workday regularly, but I’m still a beginner when it comes to deeper HR functions like HCM or Payroll. I’m interested in transitioning into HR Sales or becoming a Workday Subject Matter Expert and would love advice on how to build my skills—through courses, certificates, or hands-on experience

I prefer hands on experience for myself when it comes to learning new things. But with a software like Workday, you’ll need something to guide your hands on experience. There might be some useful YouTube tutorials for this otherwise a certification course will likely walk you through hands on training.

Hello,

With 4–5 years in HR and regular Workday use, you’re beyond entry‑level. Feeling new to areas like HCM or Payroll is normal since those areas are more specialized. Consider attending Workday Rising, that’s Workday’s annual conference. It’s a great place for people to deepen their system knowledge, network with SMEs, and explore different Workday career paths. Or even joining Workday Community.

Hope this helps!

I am in a tech IC position. One of friends switched to FAANG by converting the profile to consultant profile. The friend who might have less tech knowledge than me is now in FAANG and earning more. If the end goal would be that the friend might one day be a product manager and me an engineering manager taking instructions from the same friend, isn't consultant profile an easier path to growth. I had been practising DSA for years and the competition is only ever growing.

Hi Everyone. I completed my 1 year in EY in October 2022. And in my profile, they have updated it to Senior Analyst now. But that was a progression that happens every year and I have not received the incremented salary.

Now that they are giving increments to everyone, will I receive both progression and increment or my progression will be counted as increment.

Highly confused.

How are you guys thinking about booking appointments for 1st time H1B stamping? Every time I open the site, there are no slots available for 2022. I’m sure majority of you have faced the same. Also, heard that some people have reached out to agents and got their booking done via them. Is that even a safe option? At this point of time, having being waiting for appointments for months, I wonder if there’s any other option ?
