A BCG recruiter ghosted me after she reached out to schedule an interview. How long should I wait before following up? What is the common courtesy to give to ppl at BCG. I don’t wanna come off as too aggressive but I really need to get this interview set as there are other pending confirmations Boston Consulting Group
How long is the cooldown period for BCG?
McKinsey & Company Hey folks!
Was wondering what sort of life sciences projects does usually the Boston Consulting Group and McKinsey & Company take on?
Commercial, access and pricing, M&A, transformation, implementation? (all of them perhaps?)
Basically, what would someone with an LS background be mainly working on in these firms on a day-to-day basis?
Thanks!

It’s more like a national/practice model with global opportunities. There’s more nuance, but the basics (using US as an example):
1. Pretty easy to get staffed anywhere in the country if you try, but teams will typically bias you to a local partner or EM early on and then you expand from there. EMs in your office likely are all over the place.
2. As you hit around 9 months or so and have your feet under you, formal loans to other countries become available
3. Around the same time, you start to be able to ask your PD for help trying to get international and your own outreach can start to see success
I’ve never heard of anyone getting staffed internationally without seeking it out.
All staffing, by the way, is your decision. It’s hard to say no to reasonable things but if you don’t want to be there most teams don’t want you either.

Would you say being staffed well relies heavily on your ability to network?
Southern office PD is amazing, I’ve given my PD lists of what I want to work on and areas I want to develop and they’ve always found me the right studies and EM’s to help with that.
National is more accurate. But definitely happens that US partners will have overseas clients or clients with overseas sites and send you over there

how difficult is it to be staffed in projects in other European countries?
