Would you take a paycut / same salary you were making to move from NYC to Philadelphia, if the role was an industry opportunity in the tech/product space and more aligned with your interests and career goals?

Always read about people moving to industry for 20%+ increases with RSUs, but the offer for my move is about the same I'm making now in NYC. Think I will take it anyway but curious to hear the consensus view.

Hi All, just sharing what on mind to vent it out from my system. Maybe with this I could gain some insights and inspiration.
I have been working as a data scientist since 2018 & have been the bread winner. I have neither been under a proper mentor nor with a team of peers from my field to help me out. I was alone and confused. I have never really got the chance to prove myself which makes me all the more depressed. I'm not sure what to do with my future, indecisive and low on confidence.

Any clarity on the yearly hike this year in EY GDS india?

Curious as to how many deals at once is typical for a first year associate to take on (M&A, mostly private equity clients). Deal size is lower middle market and I’ve worked on deals ranging from $1-$110M. 2 deals at once is plenty for me, but it seems like my peers are able to take on more than that at once and still do fine. Maybe I’m just a slow learner/out of my league at the big law firm I’m at.

What do you think when associates/senior associates misspeak on a concept during a meeting or interview?
