I have a close friend who graduated with a 2.5 GPA from a no name brand school.. he’s looking for entry level Business Analyst, Financial Analyst, PM or business related rotation programs and having a real hard time. He had a major life event during college that impacted his GPA. I don’t believe GPA correlates much with being a great employee especially since most of the learning is on the job.

Now its been 4 months and I am on bench here too with no project proposals coming in. Have worked in web dev domain for the last 2.3 years with the last 1.5 years in React/Fullstack tech stack. Worked at 3 companies since 2019 till now, all with less than 20 overall people in each company (small companies). Want to switch to a big company with more people and diverse teams. Was advised to switch to data domain for long-term growth and progress. Please advise if choosing data engineering is a wise choice.
