Hi Everyone, I need your advice on my career change, I’m currently working as a data analyst but I always wanted to become software engineer so is this the right time to learn and switch or should I keep learning and try to switch roles internally?

My AD coworker (not currently my partner) just got hired at a new agency and wants to bring me along as his writer. I'd love to join. He told the recruiter at that agency about me and sent my book. I also have another former coworker (creative) who put in a good word for me.

Should I reach out to the recruiter, too? Or is that overkill after two recos? I don't want to be bothersome. But I do want to show interest..
