I think what you do in your free time is completely discretionary, and lunch time is free time from work; as far as you are available while eating no one will complaint :)
Shopping online might be an option too as you work from home
I'm with this person. I feel like it should be a freedom of working from home. I often do little chores here and there. As long as my work is getting done and I put in my 40 hours I don't see a reason not to.
One of my favorite things to do is flex my newfound freedom from the office. So yes, I take my lunch to do anything I need to do. It's also great being able to jump right into something after work without having to drive 45+ mins home first.
I believe we all run small errands during our work hours. As long as you're getting the work done i don't think it makes a difference. Mostly i start working 30m earlier than the designated time, if i'm not getting any prizes for that, some time away during the day doesn't matter
All the time! As long as I am meeting my deadlines, I have no problem stepping away.
Same!
I’ve run to the bank or other quick errands.. I try to do it for calls where I won’t need to participate and can just listen from my phone. Or during lunchtime. I wouldn’t make a point to tell anyone
I do it literally all the time. As long as my work is getting done and I am putting in my hours, I don't see why it matters. I think this is what has created better wlb and why nobody wants to go back to the office, honestly.
Literally most days. I find it’s a nice break/reset for me during the day
