I recently got placed at Deutsche Bank and will be joining in a Corporate Actions role later this year as a fresher.

Trying to understand what the role and work life actually looks like before joining. If anyone here works in banking operations or similar roles, I’d really appreciate hearing your experience.

What surprised you the most when you started working?
Anything you wish you knew earlier?

There are a few real estate positions available that i think i would be perfect for. Background - Head of Special projects at a real estate developer (building data centres and tech hubs), former McKinsey EM, MBA from London Business School, IB real estate experience and CFA

Should I take more initiative? It’s my stub year and I’m getting worried. My hours have been super low the past two months, I’m talking like maybe billing 3-4 hours a day and billing no hours on multiple days. I ask for work but the tasks I get don’t require a lot of time. Should I be reaching out more?

I’m an accounting advisory M2 in Los Angeles and hoping to find a position around $150k in industry. However a recruiter said that’s too high and I should be looking more around $130-140k, I can’t tell though if she’s being honest or just hoping I’ll take a smaller salary so that she can get an easier commission. Thoughts?

98 almost 99k base salary in San Diego, CA not including the bonuses or OT… is this too low or reasonable?

Hi what all we need to do before joining ? I have taken the print out of all the forms that we need to submit but do we need to mail them to someone or do we need to submit the hard copy of that.
