I'm looking for advice: I'm trying to find another position and I feel like I have to take off my education and some of my skills just to get past the horrid ATS system. I haven't even gotten a hint of an interview. How are others getting past this dreadful system to be seen by actual humans?Also, has anyone been approached by fake recruiters trying to get you to have their trusted colleagues to rewrite their resumes? I had this happen but I didn't fall for it.

Hi all! I was wondering if you can share your experience balancing work and interview prep at the same time? Work has been super demanding and I’m trying to prep for interviews, but I have no time except for the weekends (even then my time is extremely limited because I don’t want to completely ignore my loved ones, and I try to catch up on some sleep here and there).

Didn't have top grades, wasn't on law review. Worked at a midsize firm and was laid off in march-- have about 3 years experience in a hot practice area. Have been applying and had some interviews at larger shops but nothing has come of it. I'm still applying to roles (not many out there) in my area but coming to the realization based on number of larger firm rejection letter that I may not find a role. Happened to me with Mindtree recruiter, for an IoT leadership position where the interviewing VP chose to no show twice… after which I thanked the recruiter that I was impressed by their book of busi-ness and that it was intimidating to be thinking about the prospect of working for Mindtree… as I’m too incapable for those performance standards… 😂😂

Does anyone have any tips on virtual interviews and how to gauge the culture of the firm and if it really will be a good fit for you?
