I think a Masters looks better for management roles.

Depends. Are you interested in staying local to your community and working at a smaller firm (100-1000 employees)? If so, a PHR certification is probably better. If you’re interested in working at a Fortune 500 firm, the MHR will open more doors.

Go for a master's if you want to pursue leadership/management roles. If you are more interested in smaller companies, then go for PHR.

I think PHR tends to be more practical personally

Welcome to the Salaries in Healthcare bowl! 💸

For the best response to your post, please include the following:

Your location or HCOL/MCOL/LCOL ("high cost of living" city etc), years of experience, and any other relevant information for context.

Ex: "RN with 5 YOE in a MCOL city - just got offered a bedside role for 76k - I'm willing to take it. Thoughts?"

These variables have a great affect on salary and you'll get better answers the more details you provide.

Cheers!

So, a recruiter gave me feedback that my lack SPHR or SHRM-SCP is causing my resume to be knock out by AI and human recruiters despite my position and work history in Multinationals and being in Technology. They suggested that we put SPHR ( Lapsed). I let it lapse in 2017. What is your opinion? Plus if I were to take another certification - should I take SPHR or SHRM-SCP?
