Hello kindergarten teachers I have a question for those in the New York area. I have a son going into kindergarten in a few days. My question is what knowledge is he expected to walk in knowing?

Any parents who are still on the safe side with Covid? We have a 1 year old and being safe and staying mostly home is really getting to me. Most of our friends have kids who are able to mask up or are vaccinated and it’s getting quite isolating. Especially now mask mandates are being lifted feeling like we can’t go anywhere without risking our kid.

I was dating someone for about 2.5 years and then we broke up because of COVID and the long distance was making it too difficult to continue. The break up must’ve been like a 4-5 minute FaceTime because I was very distraught. Anyone have any similar experience or insight? My boyfriend asked for space/not really together anymore and he says he started to become nervous about being in a long term committed relationship. Interviewing for BCG PL role as an experienced hire. Have Bain experience post MBA for 2 years and 2 years with industry after that. Want to go back to consulting but different geography. Was told 4 interviews in total. I am now waiting for my 6th interview schedule. 5th interview was with head of region. Is this process normal ? All interviewers were with partners. Should I even have any hopes or are they just exploring. Would be helpful if someone has been through experienced hiring at BCG.

I use ClassDojo and a behavior clip chart to manage behavior. We have switched to personalized learning and a teacher next to me says that this is not conducive to personalized learning and good behavior is expected and shouldn’t be rewarded. Has anyone given up the clip method and how does this work for you?

Is anyone else returning to fully in person learning? We have been hybrid/synchronous since September, which has been very hard and not very effective. They want us to have all Kindergarten students come back in March. I want to stop live teaching over google meet all day while also teaching my students in person at the same time, but there is not enough space in my classroom for safe distancing, not enough space for movement, and sitting at a desk all day is not appropriate for K kids!
