Hi Everyone! I'm posting this because my Dad is having trouble finding a job after being laid off and it's starting to effect him greatly. Granted, I know there are a lot of people in this situation but I'm hoping that someone somewhere might be able to provide some direction. He is an IT and prefers a role in management within that specific field and has experience doing so. If there are any recruiters or anyone who is hiring please don't hesitate to reach out. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I am sorry to hear that. It’s definitely a strange time, when it comes to work and looking for work. He might need to be a little flexible, in this new age of looking for work and work. Which city, he’s based in ? I can check some roles for him.

Also, I have a YouTube channel that helps others in the job hunt. Hope this video, helps. How to Restart Your Career After a Layoff & Come Back Stronger Than Ever

I no longer have access to the Microsoft bowl due to the change in work email address, so I thought I'd see if any Microsoft management (former or current) are in here. I'm looking to confirm that when potentially coming back on at Microsoft, the hiring manager will be able to see my previous connects. I had a great experience at Microsoft, and would like to keep that door open in my mind, though my last connect has what I would call unfair characterizations due to a unique chain of events.

Thoughts on Pivotal Labs? It isn't clear how tightly coupled they are with implementing their cloud solutions. Do the various offices vary much?

Hi all! I got rejected from JPMorgan for their Global Finance and Business Management program (through my resume, couldn’t make it to interview). However, I’d reached out to recruiters and am meeting with one in a couple of days! Do I have a shot at turning this around? Or will it not matter once she learns I was rejected. Thanks!

There is this big bank where I'd love to work at, and after several interviews for various positions they end up promoting someone from within, even thou I understand it and think it’s good they promote their people, it left me feeling like I'm just being used to comply with the process.

Went through multi-day loop for L5 SA and felt confident in my interactions. Presentation went well with no lack of answers for follow up questions. Just found out 6 days later I will not be receiving an offer, and it is policy to not provide feedback of gaps or reasons behind no offer. Also found out they ask you not to reapply for 1 to 2 years for same role. Would anyone recommend an alternate path for feedback on interview (outside of recruiter) and is the 1-2 year policy true?

Good Morning. Here's my dilemma. I have an approved H1B application which got picked up in 2019-20 lot and approved in Jan 2020, before the world went into lockdown. The stamping process was initiated but it couldn't complete as the USCIS offices were shutdown die to the pandemic. I have watched patiently about all the regulations Trump Administration brought in to deny any entry to H1B applicants who weren't already working in the states or who were waiting to return.
